Seven immigrants arrested in Samburu East

Seven illegal immigrants were on Wednesday morning arrested in Samburu East sub-county along Isiolo Moyale highway.

Confirming the arrests, Samburu County police commander Karanja Muiruri said the immigrants of Eritrean descent were accompanied by two children.

“The aliens were traveling with two children when they were arrested driving in a personal vehicle, registration number KCR 731H,” he said.

He clarified that the car they were traveling in was stopped by a police at a roadblock at Kirish area in Samburu East along Isiolo Moyale highway but the occupants failed to produce any travel documents.

The commander said the aliens will be charged in court for being unlawfully in the country.
