465,000 targeted to be vaccinated against Measles, Typhoid in Makueni

At least 465,000 are going to be vaccinated against measles and typhoid in Makueni County, Anita Mutula has said.

Mrs Mutula, the spouse of Makueni Governor Mutula Kilonzo, said this at Unoa Primary Sports grounds where she launched the vaccination campaign officially on Tuesday.

The vaccine will cover Measles-Rubella and Typhoid Conjugated and will be carried at schools, homes religious centres and government health facilities between July 5th and 13th 2025.

“The vaccination campaign will be administered to children aged between nine months and 5 years. I urge parents to ensure their children are vaccinated,” said Mrs Mutula during the Launch.

“The County leadership is ready to support by giving the necessary resources to make the vaccination campaign successful,” she added.
