Nyandarua County Commissioner, Abdirisack Jaldesa has stressed on the significance of collaboration among various government departments for the effective execution of government projects.
While chairing Nyandarua County Implementation Coordination and Management Committee (CICMC), Jaldesa said this is possible since different departmental services are linked and related in one way or another.
“Since our services are related in one way or another, it is important for the departments to work closely together to avoid conflicts in the process of Implementation of government projects,” added Jaldesa.
Furthermore, the CC urged the various government departments to support one another adding that with scarcity of resources there is need of prioritisation of projects.
He reiterated the importance of consulting the beneficiaries who are citizens to know the projects to prioritise since they are the one on the ground and know their needs better
The administrator further noted that though there are challenges that are facing implementation of projects he challenged the committee members to popularise what the government is doing as well as serving with dedication and being committed and patriotic.
Separately Jaldesa challenged National Government Administrative officers (NGAO) and security agencies in Nyandarua County to ensure the menace of stock theft which is adversely affecting milk farmers is contained.
Government Development Unit (GDU) Director, Ms.Mukami Matemo said the main purpose of the CICMC and GDU is to enhance coordination and seamless implementation of government projects.
Ms Matemo also noted that in conjunction with CICMC the GDU is tasked to ensure the ongoing projects in the GDU portal are being well implemented on the ground and within the stipulated period.
The Director urged the Committee members to make Nyandarua County vibrant in project implementation as well as ensuring government money is spent well.
She also encouraged the NGAO to identify projects which have not been factored within their jurisdiction and report so that they may be included for monitoring.
