An 18-year old form three student at Tawa Mixed Secondary School in Mbooni East Sub County, Makueni county has committed suicide.
The teenager’s body was found dangling from the roof after she reportedly hanged herself using some cloth at her grandmother’s house in at Kwamizyoka village in Kiteta location on Thursday morning.
The girl, identified as Gloria Ndunge, had not gone to school for the last three days for being unwell.
“We don’t know her motive committing suicide. she had not gone to school for last couple of days.
However, the late Ndunge did not go to any hospital for treatment before the incident. She was staying with her grandparents,” said Mbooni East Sub County Police Commander Ephraim Karani.
Karani disclosed that the body of the deceased was taken to the Tawa Funeral Home for preservation awaiting postmortem.
