The  Nakuru  Lion’s  Club has appealed to parents to avail children with Cerebral  Palsy  for a medical Camp next week  in Nakuru  town.

The  Chairman of Lion’s Club in the County, Parma  Shah said the camp will be held on Saturday the 25th of this month at Hirjibapa Hall Lion’s Complex at Section 58.

Shah  was  speaking to KNA on Monday during a press conference in Nakuru town.

He  said  they have invited a Neurosurgeon, Dr. Mahendra Singh from Gertrude’s Children Hospital in Nairobi, who will examine the children and recommend the type of treatment they require.

Shah said that the children who require medication will also be catered for.

He  added, that the Lion’s club has decided to assist children with cerebral palsy because they are many in the county and their care and treatment requires a lot of money.

A parent of one of the children who has been assisted in the past, Rose Njoki, said the crutches the Lion’s Club gave her child has assisted and enabled her to attend school regularly.
