The first half was played at a high tempo, with both teams displaying urgency and physicality typical of a derby clash. Fortune Sacco looked sharper in attack, pressing aggressively and enjoying more possession.

Just a minute before halftime, 3K FC was presented with a golden opportunity to draw level.

Alex Kazungu was brought down inside the penalty area, prompting the referee to point to the spot amid loud protests and anticipation from the visiting fans.

Midfielder Mark Kithome stepped up to take the crucial penalty, but his effort rattled the goalpost, much to the relief of the Fortune supporters and the home goalkeeper.

The match took a dramatic turn in the 81st minute when Fortune defender Victor Matete was shown a second yellow card and subsequently sent off.

Despite being a man down, Fortune Sacco showed resilience and tactical discipline, frustrating their opponents with solid defending and well-timed clearances.

The win saw Fortune Sacco climb to fourth place in the FKF National Super League standings with 28 points from 17 matches. They now sit just one point above 3K FC, who remain in the sixth position.
