Mark Ongwae appointed as Shabana’s second assistant coach

Former Shabana Football Club defender, Mark Ongwae, has been named as the club’s second assistant coach.

In a press statement sent to newsrooms, Shabana FC’s Secretary General, Elizaphan Kerama, said they will leverage on Ongwae’s valuable experience, discipline and a strong commitment to player development and team performance to strengthen the club.

“His appointment is part of our continued efforts to strengthen the technical bench and enhance the club’s competitiveness this season,” noted Kerama.

Ongwae was in charge of the FKF National Super League side, Darajani Gogo FC, as Head Coach before his appointment.

This move follows the departure of the club’s assistant coach Bernard Mwalala, who returned to Bandari FC as Head Coach.
