Presidential hopeful Dr. Fred Matiangi has urged elected Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leaders in Nyanza region to remain united as a tribute to the late party leader, the former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga.
Speaking at Milimani Seventh Day Adventist Church in Oyugis town, Homabay County, Dr. Matiangi, at the same time called upon the six Governors and six Senators from the region, who were elected on Azimio ticket to stick together, saying it would be a shame for those mentored by peace loving Baba to disunite.
Matiangi called for prayers for peace and comfort for the bereaved family, adding that it was an honour to the departed if all, including members of Parliament and Woman Rep, remained focused towards a peaceful country.
The former Interior Minister described how Raila would reach out to conflicting factions with wisdom, advising people without discrimination.
He urged the residents to support all elected leaders, as they built the nation post-Raila.
