Melly pledges to fast-track development projects

Tindiret Member of Parliament Julius Melly has pledged to work closely with the national government administration officers to ensure the timely implementation of development projects and improved service delivery to residents.

The MP made the commitment while welcoming the newly appointed Deputy County Commissioner (DCC), Joseph Lenkarie, during a meeting held on Monday.

Melly said close collaboration between elected leaders and government administrators is essential for translating development plans into tangible benefits for the people.

“We are committed to working hand in hand with the national government administration to guarantee that projects are implemented on schedule and that residents receive the best possible services,” Melly said.

He emphasised that unity of purpose between political leadership and administrative officers would enhance accountability, improve coordination and ensure efficient utilisation of public resources.

According to the MP, such cooperation is key to addressing the diverse needs of the local community and driving sustainable development in the constituency.

Deputy County Commissioner Lenkarie thanked local leaders and residents for the warm reception, saying he was ready to foster teamwork with all stakeholders to strengthen service delivery. He noted that collaboration with elected leaders would help streamline government operations and improve responsiveness to community needs.

The two leaders highlighted ongoing and planned development initiatives in the area, noting that coordinated efforts would be critical in addressing challenges facing infrastructure, education and healthcare sectors.

They assured residents of their commitment to consult widely and work together in resolving emerging issues.

Residents have welcomed the pledge, saying improved collaboration between the political and administrative arms of government is likely to accelerate project completion, enhance service delivery and promote inclusive development across Tindiret.
