Mudavadi leads preparations for vibrant Logooli cultural festival

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has expressed optimism about the upcoming Logooli Cultural Festival, emphasising the importance of preserving and celebrating cultural heritage.

“Cultural festivals like Logooli are crucial in promoting unity, pride, and a sense of identity among communities. They serve as a platform to showcase and appreciate our rich cultural diversity.” Stated Mudavadi.

The PCS commended the organisers for their efforts in ensuring the success of the festival and encouraged the youth to actively participate and embrace their cultural heritage.

He added, “As we celebrate our culture and traditions, it is essential to pass down these values to the younger generation and instill in them a sense of pride in their roots.”

The 46th Logooli Cultural Festival promises to be a vibrant and colourful event, bringing together people from all walks of life to celebrate the rich Maragoli culture.

With a focus on leadership as wealth, the festival aims to inspire and empower the youth to take up leadership roles within their communities.

The festival will feature a range of cultural activities, including traditional dances, music performances, arts and crafts exhibitions, and culinary displays.

Mudavadi’s visit to the festival grounds and his interaction with the organisers and exhibitors underscored his commitment to supporting and promoting cultural heritage and community development.

As the countdown to the 46th Logooli Cultural Festival continues, excitement is building among the Maragoli community and enthusiasts of cultural festivals.

With Mudavadi’s endorsement and support, the festival is expected to be a resounding success, celebrating the essence of Maragoli culture and tradition.

The 46th Logooli cultural festival will be celebrated today, as the festival is usually celebrated every December 26 and the Maragolis value it more than Christmas.

A spot check by KNA around Mbale town confirmed that business was as usual, as traders were going on with their daily business.

Some of the people interviewed said that they are not excited about Christmas but they are eagerly waiting to celebrate their Logooli festival.

Most churches in Mbale town had a low turnout of members for Christmas celebrations.
