Education Cabinet Secretary (CS) Julius Ogamba Migosi has urged Nyamira residents to support President William Ruto’s development agenda, saying the Head of State is focused, visionary and has a clear plan on how he would revolutionize Kenya to higher heights of development.
The CS made this appeal while presiding over a funds drive for the construction of St. Partricks Nyansabwa Parish in Nyamira County, Sunday, noting that the Gusii community has been plunged into divisive propaganda spread by ungrateful politicians with selfish ambitions and a misconception of easily dethroning the current leadership.
“Our President has great development plans for the Gusii community and we shall be foolish if we get enticed with other selfish politicians from our community cheating that the current government has failed to deliver, yet development projects have been undertaken and can be seen and felt by the community,” CS. Ogamba said.
“The Omogusii community is one the greatest beneficiaries of government’s development agenda, including being appointed to key leadership posts, including the one I am currently holding as the Education Cabinet Secretary,” Ogamba stated.
He warned such selfish leaders from distracting the people from Gusii land and leading them to the wrong direction, vowing that leaders supporting the government shall fight to the last man, to ensure the Abagusii community remains in government.
“Your elected leaders have requested for very many development projects from the President for your region, including construction of tarmac roads, connection of electricity to your homes, improvement of learning infrastructure, provision for accessible clean water.
“Moreover, they have requested the President to support business initiatives by Micro, Small and Medium Entreprises (MSMEs), to be economically empowered, be self-reliant and independently sustain their livelihoods and those of their dependents. Your requests will definitely be granted because your leaders are in full support of the government of the day,” the Education CS assured.
West Mugirango Member of Parliament (MP) Stephen Mogaka swore that he would fully support the government of the day, as it was the one that was constitutionally voted into office by the people of Kenya hence the one to undertake development projects for its people.
“The President has already promised the tarmacking of Bondeni-Magombo road, which is a major connection link between the constituencies of West Mugirango and Kitutu Masaba,” MP Mogaka confirmed.
Other top leaders present included Kenya’s Solicitor General (SG) Sharak Mose, Nyamira County Women Representative Jerusha Momanyi, Nominated Senator Essy Okenyuri amongst others. CS Ogamba gave the President’s contribution of Sh2 million.
