Social protection officer charged with defilement

An officer working with the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection in Kwale county has been charged with defiling a Form Two student.

 

Enoch Masita however denied the charges before Kwale Chief Magistrate Dominica Nyambu who granted him a Sh500, 000 bond or Sh200, 000 cash bail pending the hearing of the case.

 

The accused faced an alternative charge of indecently assaulting the 17-year-old by touching her private parts.

 

According to police records the accused committed the offence on December 15 in a Kwale Guest House at 3pm.

 

The case will be mentioned on January 7 and heard on February 21, next year.
