St. Joseph Girls has today thrashed Kibuli from Uganda 54-34 as they eye the basketball 5×5 FEASSA title
They have won three matches and lost one so far as they prepare to clash with defending champions St. Noa of Uganda.
Despite losing their opening match with 37-64 to Rwanda, St. Joseph Girls have picked up pace beating Juhudi from Tanzania 64-37 before edging out Kawa Tiwi of Mombasa 50-42.
The schools Assistant coach Arnold Sitati said they are determined to lift the title as they prepare to meet the remaining teams noting that the girls are improving as they progress.
“We are looking at the trophy that is our target, we are taking a game at a time and our next opponent is St. Noa of Uganda, so we are trying to plan how we are going to meet them since they are the defending champions,” he explained.
He said that St. Joseph girls are featuring in 5×5 basketball for the first time at the FEASSA competition.
