Vihiga Governor Dr. Wilber Khasilwa Ottichilo has urged young people in the county to take advantage of the government’s development programs and opportunities, including loans and tender supplies aimed at empowering them economically.
Speaking at the County Headquarters during a meeting with the Vihiga County Youth Service Board, Dr. Ottichilo encouraged the team to intensify sensitization campaigns across the county to ensure the youth actively engage with all county departments and benefit from ongoing youth-based economic empowering initiatives.
Led by their Chairperson, Wycliffe Chabaya, the board presented a status report to the Governor outlining their achievements, challenges, and proposed interventions.
Dr. Ottichilo advised the youth to register companies in order to qualify for youth-friendly loans and grants and to regularly apply for tenders advertised by the County Government.
