West Pokot gears up for inclusive CASA games

West Pokot County Assembly Deputy Speaker, Victor Sywat, on Friday, flagged off a team of men and women heading to Meru County for the 2025 6th edition of the County Assemblies Sports Association (CASA).

This sporting activity brings together county assembly members and staff from across Kenya to promote sports and culture.

CASA hosts annual games, with the latest being the 5th edition held in Bungoma County in October 2024, under the theme “Fostering Inclusivity and Diversity in County Sports and Cultural Events.

West Pokot County Assembly is, however, hopeful of becoming victorious in different competitions, including football and rugby, among others.

The association showcases diverse cultures through music, dance, and other performances.

Also CASA provides a platform for members to share best practices and ideas on legislative leadership and development.

The five-day CASA that will bring together all 47 county assemblies aims to promote inclusivity, diversity, and social interaction among county assembly members, while also boosting local economies through sports tourism.
