16 police constables recruited in Makueni Subcounty

At least 16 police constables were recruited by National Police Service (NPS) in Makueni Subcounty in the ongoing police recruitment countrywide.

Following the recruitment that was carried out at Police Sports Ground on Monday in Wote town, 13 male and 3 females who were successful out of the 110 applicants who turned.

“We selected these candidates based on discipline and fitness. We gave everyone an opportunity to prove themselves and ensured the process was transparent and merit,” said Senior Superintendent of Police, Anderson Mbae, during the recruitment at Police Sports Ground in Wote town.

He disclosed that the recruits are expected to report either to Embakasi AP training College, Kiganjo Police Training College and General Services Unit (GSU) Training College on 24/11/2025.

“The recruits will undergo a nine-month training. This is part of the national efforts to enhance security by building a professional, accountable and people centred police force,” Mbae posed.

Also, the recruitment was conducted in the other nine sub counties namely Kambu, Kibwezi, Makindu, Nzaui, Mukaa, Kilungu, Kathozweni, Mbooni West and Mbooni East respectively.
