Kenya Revenue Authority Announces Executive Appointments

The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) Board and Management has appointed Ms Nancy Ngétich as the Commissioner for Shared Services Department effective September 11, 2025.

Ms Ngétich has served as the acting Commissioner of Shared Services since February 2023, where she has overseen organizational reforms, HR alignment with KRA’s 9th Corporate Plan and promoted technology adoption to support revenue mobilisation.

KRA in a statement indicated that her appointment, together with others is as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional capacity, enhance service delivery and drive organizational excellence.

“The KRA Board and Management is committed to ensuring that executive roles are substantively filled while maintaining continuity and accountability across the organization,” read the statement.

It further explained that previously, Ms Ngétich held the position of Deputy Commissioner Policy and International Affairs in the Customs and Border Control Department at KRA, and Senior Manager Customs and Tax Advisory at Ernst and Young LLP.

The statement highlighted that Ms Ngétich has played a pivotal role in customs reforms, trade facilitation, African Continental Free Trade Area negotiations and East African Community customs policy.

Ms Ngétich is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and Member of the Law Society of Kenya, the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya and the Kenya Institute of Management.

Additionally, KRA announced changes in other leadership positions where Rispah Simiyu is seconded to the National Treasury Economic Planning while Doreen Mbingi, Deputy Commissioner – Compliance, East and South of Nairobi, has been appointed to provide leadership for the Large and Medium Taxpayers Department in an acting capacity, pending substantive appointment.

“The Authority congratulates Ms Ngétich and Ms. Mbingi on their appointments and urges all taxpayers and stakeholders to continue extending their support and collaboration. As KRA, we reaffirm our commitment to fulfilling our mandate of revenue mobilization for national development, while delivering efficient, fair and transparent services to all taxpayers across the country,” read the statement.
