A team of law enforcement officers drawn from Oruba Police Station in Migori County has apprehended a 32-year-old trafficker transporting bhang worth 13.7 Million.
Acting on a tip-off from residents, the officers led by Chrispine Ogutu, the Suna West County Police Commander intercepted a black Toyota Kluger with the registration number KBS 517N.
The vehicle driven by Edwin Okondo was carrying eight sacks of narcotic weighing 457.6 Kilogrammes, along the Giribe-Masara Road.
The police also recovered four different number plates which are believed to be used for concealment in order to evade law enforcers.
Okondo is currently in custody at the Oruba police station undergoing processing and further investigation before being arraigned in court.
