County leaders meet to assess ongoing service delivery

Vihiga Governor  Wilber Khasilwa Ottichilo presided over a service delivery meeting that brought together all Sub-County and ward administrators from across the county.

The meeting, held at the county headquarters in Mbale, provided a platform to assess the implementation of various government programmes and development initiatives at the grassroots level.

During the session, administrators from each sub-county presented comprehensive progress reports outlining key milestones, ongoing projects, challenges faced, and priority areas requiring intervention.

Dr.  Ottichilo emphasised the need for strengthened coordination across administrative units to enhance efficiency in service delivery. He lauded the administrators for their integral role in actualising the county’s development agenda at the community level.

“We must continue to work collaboratively to ensure that every resident, regardless of their location, benefits from timely and quality services,” said the Governor.

Deliberations also focused on improving responsiveness to public concerns, closing service delivery gaps, and promoting accountability within local governance structures.

The administrators play a central role in the devolved system of governance by overseeing daily operations, coordinating development activities, and ensuring effective public service delivery in their respective jurisdictions.

Governor Ottichilo reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to sustained engagement with local administrators to ensure inclusive and equitable development across all the wards.
