The Trans Nzoia County Public Service Board has signed a performance appraisal in a move aimed at enhancing accountable, efficient and effective service delivery.
Presiding over the exercise at the county headquarters, Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya termed the exercise as a major step towards ensuring transparency and excellence in public service delivery.
“This is an important milestone that reinforces our shared commitment to accountability, transparency, and excellence in service delivery,” he said.
Stating that the performance contracts would help align efforts within the public service towards efficient resource management, Natembeya added they would also lead to improved performance standards and better outcomes.
He urged the Board members to embrace the tool and look at it as a mechanism meant to enhance their services and professional development.
Established under the County Governments, the County Public Service Board is mandated to build a competent and efficient workforce capable of delivering quality services to residents while upholding the values of integrity and accountability.
Among other essential duties, it oversees human resource management by ensuring a fair recruitment process, promotions, discipline and professionalism.
Present during the signing of the performance appraisal were Trans Nzoia County Executive Committee Members, Chief Officers and other county officials.
