Dennis Kipkoech, a 60-year-old farmer from Kericho County, has emerged as the latest SportPesa Midweek Jackpot millionaire after securing an impressive Sh10, 791, 271 win.
Kipkoech becomes the seventh winner of the Midweek Jackpot in 2025, joining a growing list of successful punters who have defied the odds with accurate football predictions.
Using only Sh 99 as his stake, Kipkoech won after correctly predicting the outcome of all 13 games in that week’s SportPesa Midweek Jackpot.
After placing two separate Midweek Jackpot bets, Kipkoech struck gold with his second prediction, reaping a bumper harvest to become the latest millionaire minted from SportPesa’s long line of winners.
“On that day, I had placed two Midweek Jackpot bets. I analysed the first one thoroughly and for a good number of hours, but I only got one prediction right,” he explained.
“The second one, which was just casual without any pressure, turned out to be the one I won. When only three games remained, I remember my body was thrown off balance because I was really nervous. There was a game that had a red card, but ultimately it did not affect the outcome and I managed to win,” he added.
Kipkoech, a former tea plantation worker who later ventured into personal farming, shared his immediate plans on how he intends to use the windfall to improve his life.
“With this Sh10 million, I am going to Githunguri to change my life. I am going to buy dairy cows and then afterwards buy another piece of land to grow food for those cows and for my own consumption,” he revealed.
Kipkoech also expressed his gratitude to SportPesa as he turned his focus to the Mega Jackpot that has hit an incredible 421 million.
“SportPesa is like a gift from God to help people without any hope. Because where would I have gotten an amount like this?” he posed.
“Right now, I don’t think it’s easy for someone to loan you even Sh10,000. For that, I’m very thankful for this win. Now, I just want to come back for the Mega Jackpot,” he added.
The SportPesa Mega Jackpot kicks off this Saturday at 9:30 p.m., with a stake of Sh99 and a grand prize of Sh421,326,863. Bonus payouts will also be awarded for correctly making 12, 13, 14, 15, or 16/17 correct predictions.
