Police in Homa Bay Sub County have launched investigation into the death of a 50-year old man whose body was found inside his pharmacy at Rodi Kopany trading centre in Kalanya Kanyango Location of Homa Bay County on Friday morning.
The body of Joseph Juma Dola was discovered by his wife lying on a bed inside the pharmacy.
Confirming the incident to KNA, Kalanya Kanyango Sub location assistant Chief Andrew Okach said the deceased was found lying postrate on vomits and blood oozing from his nose.
Okach said that Juma was in the pharmacy for the better part of Thursday morning but later left the shop only to return in the evening. He suspected Juma could have taken alcohol before returning to the pharmacy drunk.
The administrator added that the deceased`s wife decided to leave him at the pharmacy to spend a night since he could not manage to walk home and on Friday morning was surprised to find his lifeless body on the bed.
Okach stated that they have not yet established what could have caused the death of Juma since he had no visible injuries on the body saying his office has liased with police officers to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death.
