Kimilili Member of Parliament aspirant Abdulaziz Mulama has reaffirmed his commitment to community-centred development after presiding over an empowerment exercise for local community-based organisations (CBOs) at Amutallah Stadium.
Mulama, who is seeking the Kimilili parliamentary seat in 2027, handed over tents and table-banking support to various community-based organisations (CBOs) and self-help groups, noting that the programme aims to strengthen grassroots economic activities.
Speaking during the event, Mulama said that the initiative marks the beginning of a broader plan to enhance livelihoods across the constituency, adding that his leadership approach will prioritise practical solutions that uplift families.
“We are turning vision into tangible progress for our people,” he told residents during the event.
He further appealed to the community to embrace unity and sustained collaboration, saying meaningful development can only be achieved through joint effort and encouraged residents to remain committed to the course of improving their constituency.
During an interview with Kenya News Agency, Mary Nanyama, one of the beneficiaries, expressed her gratitude to Abdulaziz Mulama, saying the tents and table-banking support had given local groups fresh hope and practical tools to grow.
“Many women and youth groups had long struggled with limited resources, and this initiative would greatly improve our activities and community engagements,” she noted.
Nanyama commended Mulama’s approach to grassroots empowerment, saying it reflects leadership that listens to the needs on the ground and responds with meaningful solutions.
He maintained that the journey toward a more prosperous Kimilili has only begun, promising more initiatives in the coming months as he intensifies his campaign for the Kimilili MP seat in 2027.
