The newly appointed chairperson of the Kisii County Public Service Board, Haron Onguso and the secretary, Alfred Nyagwoka have been sworn in.
This comes after the Kisii County Assembly’s Select Committee on Appointments adopted the report on the vetting of the two individuals on Tuesday.
The ceremony was held at Gusii Stadium in Kisii town and attended by various county officials, community leaders and residents of Kisii.
Speaking after the swearing-in ceremony, Kisii Deputy Governor Elijah Obebo, who represented Governor Simba Arati, pledged to continue supporting the board’s mandate and ensure the office’s independence.
