Ololulung’a Ward Reaps Big as Governor Ntutu Reviews Key Development Projects

Narok Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to transforming living standards in the county by creating diversified economic opportunities for the local residents.

He made the remarks yesterday following a comprehensive review of ongoing and completed development projects during a public baraza at Ololulung’a Junction.

Addressing hundreds of residents during the baraza, Governor Ntutu outlined a series of major infrastructure, education, health, and water projects that are already reshaping the living standards of the local community.

Governor Ntutu emphasised that the projects are designed to address critical needs and uplift the living standards of the local residents.

Among the key developments reviewed were the ongoing murraming and grading of the 17-kilometer Ololoipangi–Masaita Road, a project that is set to greatly improve transport and ease access to critical facilities especially markets, schools, and health facilities.

 In the education sector, the governor highlighted the construction of a modern library at Ololulunga Secondary School and a new administration block at Maasantare Secondary School.

The county boss also announced the construction of a modern dormitory at Oloirien Secondary School and the development of a modern Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) complex at Ololulunga Centre

He asserted that these initiatives aimed at expanding academic facilities as well as boosting the quality of education and learning environments for local students.

With regard to provision of quality healthcare services the governor explained that plans for the construction of Ololoipangi Dispensary underway.

Residents welcomed this project, noting that access to medical services would now be closer to the residents, especially during emergencies.

Governor Ntutu also inspected the completed drilling and construction of the Iltirben Borehole, a project that will provide clean and reliable water to the surrounding communities, thus addressing a longstanding water shortage in the area. Additionally, the governor celebrated the completion of the Oloirien Footbridge, a critical infrastructure that will enhance connectivity and safety, especially during the rainy seasons.

In a move to further enhance urban mobility, the county has completed the tarmacking of a 2.5-kilometer stretch from Ololulunga Junction to Ololulunga Trading Centre, improving the business environment and spurring economic activities.

“We are determined to deliver services that directly impact the lives of our people. These projects are not just structures; they represent hope, opportunities, and a better future for Ololulung’a Ward,” said Governor Ntutu during the baraza.

He also engaged residents in identifying the next set of priority projects to ensure that development remains people-driven.
