Bomet County Senator Hillary Sigei has urged successful candidates in the government-sponsored NYOTA Project to turn up for the verification and validation exercise scheduled for today Friday at their respective constituency or sub-county headquarters.
In a statement, Senator Sigei said the National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement (NYOTA) Project, under the Business Support Component, will be conducting a nationwide physical verification exercise for all successful applicants on Friday, October 24, 2025. He appealed to the youth to attend the exercise to fully benefit from the programme.
He noted that all successful applicants are required to attend the physical validation and verification exercise in person at the venue corresponding to the location where they submitted their applications.
The senator advised participants to carry their original National Identification Cards, and where applicable, their National Council for Persons with Disability (NCPWD) card, as well as a copy of the pre-selection notification received.
In Bomet County, the verification venues include Sotik Empowerment Centre for Sotik Sub-County, Bomet Green Stadium for Bomet Central, Chepalungu TTI (Chebunyo) for Chepalungu, Konoin Youth Empowerment Centre (Mogogosiek), and Longisa Youth Empowerment Centre for Bomet East Sub-County.
Senator Sigei urged candidates to attend the exercise punctually and wished them success, thanking President William Ruto for initiating the programme, which he said aims to uplift the livelihoods of youth who missed opportunities to join college after primary or secondary education.
