SportPesa Unveils 10 New Millionaires in Sh103.9M Jackpot Bonanza

Leading online gaming firm SportPesa has once again cemented its reputation as Kenya’s “factory of millionaires” after unveiling 10 winners of its Mega Jackpot, Midweek Jackpot, and Mega Jackpot bonus prizes worth a combined Sh103,981,870.

The unveiling ceremony, held in Ongata Rongai and coinciding with the viewing party for the Harambee Stars’ African Nations Championship 2024 quarterfinal clash against Madagascar, marked one of the biggest jackpot payout events in recent months.

At the top of the winners’ list were two Mega Jackpot victors, who each walked away with Sh69, 584,992 after correctly predicting all 14 outcomes in the 14/14 Mega Jackpot played on August 16–17.

This comes barely a week after Bonnie Kamau was officially unveiled as the biggest-ever SportPesa Mega Jackpot winner, having pocketed a record-breaking Sh424,660,618 from the 17/17 Mega Jackpot.

Among the new millionaires was Bernard Kilonzo, a Jua Kali businessman from Eastleigh who has been a loyal SportPesa customer since 2017. Kilonzo, who shared the Sh69.5 million Mega Jackpot prize with Derrick Kinyua, said the win would transform his business.

“I am really happy to win the SportPesa Mega Jackpot. I have been playing since 2017, and this win will help boost my business. In a week, I normally place two Midweek Jackpot bets and two Mega Jackpot bets,” said Kilonzo.

The Midweek Jackpot also produced a big winner, with Allan Waithaka from Jogoo Road scooping Sh10 million after successfully predicting 13/13 outcomes.

In addition, five other players won Sh5,328,353 each in Mega Jackpot bonuses, while three others pocketed Sh1,027,822 each, making the day a life-changing moment for all 10 winners.

Speaking at the event, SportPesa’s Public Relations and Advertising Manager Willis Ojwang said the company is committed to enhancing the customer experience beyond its gaming products.

He highlighted SportPesa’s recent partnership with the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) as part of efforts to promote local football while rewarding loyal fans through jackpot prizes.

“I am so happy because we are celebrating Sh103.9 million in winnings today across the Mega Jackpot, Midweek Jackpot, and bonuses. Two lucky players split Sh69 million in the Mega Jackpot, while others bagged millions through bonuses. Truly, we have lived up to the billing as Kenya’s factory of millionaires,” Ojwang said.

With frequent multimillion winners and record-breaking payouts, SportPesa continues to dominate Kenya’s gaming industry, reinforcing its position as the country’s premier jackpot platform.
