Commissioner calls for peace in Rachuonyo

Rachuonyo Deputy County Commissioner (DCC) Silvester Mwangulu has called for peaceful and harmonious relationship in the community to spur development

The DCC said political differences must not be the cause for enmity   and disunity in the society

“Leaders and residents be patients with one another and avoid political differences that deter development “the DCC said

During a public Baraza in Kodera north location the commissioner said living together harmoniously as a community will foster quick decision making especially on giving feedback on what community want the govt to do for them.

“When the government is up there and the citizen down here, the community comprised of the village elders , business people, religious leaders Boda bodas, the women and the youth ,farmers ,health promoters, the chiefs among others are the key stakeholders that drive the community forward.” the DCC said

He said the team must work together saying when they work together in unity and justice the society become peaceful and they can now move forward in development with ease, improve their health, and nobody will feel threatened, violated or hurt, and their wealth will be safe.

The DCC urged the residents to participate in decision making to get government available opportunities and stop complaining all the time but come out and take responsibilities

“Be cooperative with all the leaders elective and unelected ones and opinion leaders to speak in one voice on development programmes,” the deputy commissioners said.

During the public baraza the DCC made operational two newly created sub locations Kopiyo Karandini and Kasire Kogelo in the location that were gazette in 2017.

The commissioner said the creation of the new administrative units will help in issues of security a key enabler of the bottom-up economic transformation agenda (BETA) saying some locations were expansive and one chief could not manage alone without police post.
