A spot check by Kenya news agency revealed that water distribution is laced with biasness with some connections for no reasons left dry while others have running water.
Allegations abound that charges leveled on consumers are done in a haphazard manner and in other instances there is overcharging leaving underprivileged families unable to foot the bills.
Water bowsers are charging Sh3000 for water delivery whose safety is questionable with the situation triggering suspected high waterborne infections from water drawn from river tana.
Local elders have appealed to the government to intervene in the situation to avert further suffering of the local residents.
