Governor Achani pledges continued support for women empowerment

Kwale Governor Fatuma Achani has reiterated her administration’s commitment to empowering women through deliberate policies and actions that ensure inclusivity.

Governor Achani says the devolved government is taking steps to address political and economic barriers hindering women’s progress.

She says the county is investing in initiatives that promote self-sufficiency and economic participation among women by bridging financial gaps that hinder their progress.

Governor Achani said the devolved government is committed to supporting women and youth-led enterprises because they are critical to job creation and local economic growth

Achani said so far the county has registered over 300 women and youth-based companies, with more than 150 already benefiting from county government tenders

She said some of these thriving companies include Kuriradzulu Women Ltd – Tsimba Golini, Hairat Women Ltd – Mackinnon Road Ward, Bora Salama Ltd – Kinango, Lutuma Women Ltd – Lukore, and Kudzecha Women Ltd – Lungalunga.
