A man who was arrested while transporting bhang worth Sh13 million along Kapchorwa-Torongo road in Kamwosor location of Keiyo South sub county early this week has been released on a Sh10 million bond with one surety by an Iten court pending trial.
Vincent Odhiambo appeared before Iten principal magistrate Emmy Kigen and pleaded not guilty. He was charged that on January 18 this year along Kapchorwa-Torongo road in Kamwosor location of Keiyo South sub county jointly with others not before court, he was found trafficking narcotic drugs namely bhang.
The charge continued that the bhang that weighed 266kg with a street value of Sh13 million was being transported using a motor vehicle number KDV 627S a Toyota fielder.
The case will be mentioned on February 2 and heard on February 11 this year.
