Youth throng KMTC grounds for NYOTA national verification

Hundreds of youths yesterday thronged the Kenya Medical Training College grounds in Siaya town as the government officially kicked off the NYOTA programme physical verification exercise.

The youth, who began arriving at the venue early in the morning had to endure long queues that characterized the event, as members of the national government administration officers and other officials from the youth department registered them.

Addressing the youths who turned up, Medical Services Principal Secretary, Ouma Oluga through his representative, Raymond Otieno expressed the government’s commitment to empowering the youth economically.

“The opportunities offered are the best and most transformative for young Kenyans. This is at the heart of President William Ruto,” he said.

Otieno, who was flanked by the Siaya Deputy County Commissioner, Robert Ng’etich, called on the youth to support the government that has the best programmes for them.
