Vihiga county to get state lounge at commissioner’s residence

Vihiga County is set to get a state lounge at the County Commissioner’s residence, Governor Wilber Khasilwa Ottichillo has revealed.

The announcement came during a meeting with Kidundu landowners, which was also attended by Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi at the county headquarters.

Governor Ottichillo highlighted the development alongside other major projects in the county, including the construction of Kidundu Stadium, which is slated to begin in February 2026. He also mentioned improvements in roads, electricity, and plans for an airstrip as part of the county’s broader development agenda.

Currently, the County Commissioner’s residence is undergoing renovation, a project spearheaded by the State Department for Housing and Urban Development in Vihiga. The works commenced on December 14, 2025, and are part of efforts to enhance the facilities at the residence.
