Lari Member of Parliament Mburu Kahangara has held a series of grassroots meetings with residents of Kinale, Kijabe, and Lari Kirenga wards to discuss development priorities and hear concerns affecting communities.
The meetings provided residents with an opportunity to present their views, needs, and aspirations while receiving updates on development projects initiated in their respective wards.
Kahangara said regular engagement with residents was essential in ensuring that development plans reflected the priorities of communities and addressed challenges at the grassroots.
He said his office had continued supporting development initiatives in road infrastructure, education, and water, noting that improved infrastructure was important in enhancing connectivity and supporting economic activities.
The MP said the meetings had also enabled him to identify issues requiring further intervention and assured residents that their concerns would inform future development programmes.
“I will continue to focus on grassroots development while remaining reachable to the people,” Kahangara said.
He identified roads as a key priority, citing their role in connecting residents to markets, schools, health facilities, and other essential services.
Kahangara also underscored the importance of investing in education and water infrastructure to improve living standards and create better opportunities for residents across the constituency.
He said meaningful development could only be achieved through continuous consultation with residents, adding that community participation was important in identifying priority projects and monitoring their implementation.
The legislator encouraged residents to continue raising concerns and providing feedback on ongoing projects, saying such engagements would help his office align development initiatives with the needs of different communities.

He said his office would continue prioritising projects aimed at improving infrastructure and access to essential services while maintaining regular grassroots engagements with residents.
The MP said the constituency’s development agenda would remain people-centered, with continued consultations aimed at ensuring available resources were directed towards projects identified as having significant impact on residents.
