A boy suspected to be kidnapped found

Police in Rachuonyo North Sub County are still pursuing the suspects who allegedly kidnapped a seven year old boy in Kendu Bay Township on of August 16 this year.

The  boy, Raphael Ochieng, went missing on the fateful day after he was kidnapped by people unknown to him but was dropped on  Monday at Kendu Bay Township along Homa Bay Katitu Highway.

Confirming the incident to KNA, the Homa Bay County Police Commander (CPC), Esther  Seroney said that the boy was  allegedly put in a vehicle plying Homa Bay-Katitu route by people who were unknown to him at Homa Bay Township.

Seroney  said that the boy looked shaken but was in good health when he was re-united with his parents, adding that  the boy revealed that his kidnappers neither harassed nor inflicted any injuries on him.

The  officer said that the suspects were still at large and called on the members of the public with any relevant information on the same to release it in confidence to security officers.

She regretted that there were many cases of children being kidnapped in the area and called for concerted efforts from all stakeholders and the community in fighting the vice.
