Residents of Othach in Bondo Sub-County were met with a rude shock after the body of a middle age man was found dangling from the roof of his house Ulongi village
Preliminary investigations into the incident indicated that the body of 47-year-old James Omondi Ahayo was found in his sitting room with a rope round his neck in what appeared to be a case of suicide.
According to the area Assistant Chief Mr Patrick Orembo, the body was discovered by his younger son who raised alarm before members of the public rushed to the scene and then called the police.
He stated that man is said to have been staying in that house alone after his estranged wife left to her paternal home although the police could not trace any suicide note left behind at the scene.
Orembo who confirmed the mid-morning incident stated that the man’s body has since been removed to Bondo Sub-County Hospital Mortuary to await postmortem as investigations begin into the matter.
