Deliverance Church International Mt. Kenya South overseer Bishop Dr. Stephen Njoroge has called on the government to ease taxation to stem the escalating cost of living in the country.
Bishop Njoroge said the cost of living has taken a heavy toll on Kenyans, who have multiple responsibilities to fed for their families.
The Bishop spoke at the Deliverance Church, Blue Valley, Embu County, during the church’s annual Business Sunday Expo.
He said the purpose of the expo was to help local church members and the neighbouring community to showcase the wares they use in their day-to-day trading.
Bishop Njoroge said there existed immense potential within the congregants to engage in varied enterprises for economic gain that may guarantee wealth creation and prosperity.
He said the people could serve God more effectively if they had enough resources, which can be obtained through work and enterprise.
The expo attracted a total of 44 exhibitors, including Britam Insurance Company, among others.
