Implementation of sixteen (16) new water and sanitation projects targeting public institutions and health facilities has been launched in Hamisi Sub County, Vihiga County.
This was disclosed during a courtesy call to Governor Dr Wilber Khasilwa Ottichilo by Humphrey Buradi, Regional Director of The Water Project, to discuss ongoing collaboration between the County Government of Vihiga and the organisation.
Since 2015, the partnership has delivered 380 water projects across the county, significantly improving residents’ access to clean and safe water.
Governor Ottichilo expressed his appreciation for the organisation’s continued support, emphasising that such initiatives are vital in enhancing water access and promoting better health and hygiene standards for the people of Vihiga.
The Water Project is a non-profit organisation unlocking human potential by providing reliable water projects to communities in sub-Saharan Africa who suffer needlessly from a lack of access to clean water and proper sanitation.
