Six boys and two girls were yesterday recruited from the final sample of 65 boys and four girls, during the ongoing Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) recruitment exercise in Migori County.
According to Senior Recruitment Officer (SRO) Lt. Col. Hashim Khalif the recruitment exercise targeted Suba East and Suba Central divisions.
A large number of Migori Youth turned-up for the exercise that kicked-off yesterday countrywide. Lt. Col. Khalif said that the KDF is undertaking the exercise to recruit potential officers into the Kenyan Defense Force.
The Lieutenant said that the recruitment exercise which will be going on until November 24 in Migori County will be targeting potential service men and women, General Service Officer Cadets (GSO) and General Service Officer Cadets Specialists. He also informed that the recruitment exercise will target the Defense Force Constabularies, the National Youth Service (NYS) recruits and service members who retried and want to rejoin the forces.
Lt. Col. Khalif also acknowledged that so far they have not had any incident of bribery or forgery among the recruits.
Lieutenant Khalif noted that they will be frisking all the recruits that come for the exercise to ensure that nobody comes in with any form of bribery.
The KDF recruitment team headed by Lt. Col. Khalif will be heading today to Kuria East Sub-county where the exercise will take place at Kegonga Market.
