Residents of Lokichogio Sub-County have asked the County Government to prioritize completion of all stalled development projects in the upcoming financial year.
During a public participation exercise for the County Fiscal Strategy Paper (CFSP) held in Lokichogio, the community identified the finishing of ongoing works as the most urgent priority to ensure residents benefit from previous investments.
Residents called for targeted funding to complete stalled dispensaries, roads, ECDE centers, and water projects across Lokichogio, Songot, and Nanam Wards.
The community emphasized that before the County launches any new projects, it must first ensure that existing, unfinished infrastructure is fully functional.
“We are here to ensure that the 2026/2027 budget is a reflection of your immediate needs,” assured the Director for Budget, Nicholas Mayo.
The forum had representation from all village units, including Youth, Women groups, PWDs, and professionals from the three wards.
