A Kericho Court has ordered that a 58-year-old man accused of committing an indecent act with a pastor after a prayer session be detained in remand custody to await a pre-trial hearing.

The accused, Kenneth Odhiambo Oguthe is alleged to have committed the offence on October 22, 2025 at about 8.50am at Kericho Law courts in Ainamoi sub-county within Kericho County where he intentionally touched the genitals of Allan Kiombe with his hands without the pastor’s consent.

Oguthe, who pleaded not guilty when he appeared before Principal Magistrate Fredrick Nyakundi, was charged with committing an indecent act with an adult contrary to section 11 A of the Sexual Offences Act no 3 of 2006.

The accused was remanded pending a pre-trial report after the prosecution requested for more information before the trial.

He will be presented in court again on November, 3rd this year for a mention of the case.
