Missing Wajir Huduma centre manager found alive at border town

The missing Wajir Huduma Centre Manager, Hussein Abdirahman was found alive at Dhobley border town in Wajir this morning in weak condition, according to family sources.

Abdirahman, who is an Assistant County Commissioner (ACC) was last seen on July 8, 2025.

Local security agencies and the National Police Service denied any involvement in the disappearance of the officer.

While commenting on the matter in Garissa town, Northeastern Regional Commissioner John Otieno said that the security agencies were following up on the matter and that a full report on the disappearance and appearance of the ACC would be available shortly.

“It is unfortunate that the Assistant County Commissioner who manned the Huduma Centre in Wajir went missing sometime back and the investigative agencies did everything possible to trace him and unfortunately it yielded no fruits,” Otieno said.

“Unconfirmed reports indicate that he has been seen in Dhobley in Somalia and we will be able to give an official position in the shortest time possible,” he added.
