Nomiya Church Backs BBI Report

Nomiya church will fully support the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI), with the church leadership saying that this was the only way that the country can realize effective transformation. 

Speaking at Sinaga parish in Gem Yala Sub County, the assistant archbishop of the church, Rev. David Abaki Odhiambo called on Kenyans to support the initiative if they expect better leadership in future. 

Abaki told a New Year service yesterday that it was the responsibility of all Kenyans and more so religious leaders to pray for the nation to realise unity and peaceful co-existence amongst citizens. 

“We should pray while supporting BBI because it is the process that will guarantee unity and tranquillity in this country,” said Rev. Abaki. 

On the schools’ reopening, the church leader told parents to have faith in the government and send their children to school, saying that nothing bad will happen when learning resumes next week 

He however told Kenyans to adhere to the Covid-19 protocols set by the ministry of health, saying school administrators must ensure this was implemented in their institutions.
