PS Mbaika rallies support for government

Aviation and Aerospace Development PS Teresia Mbaika has called on Makueni County residents to continue supporting the Kenya Kwanza government, citing the ongoing affordable housing, markets, and road projects being implemented across the 10 sub-counties in the area.

Speaking during a women empowerment forum at Malivani AIC boarding primary school in Makueni Sub-county, Mbaika said the ongoing projects were impacting lives of the people, especially the youth, who had already secured jobs at the respective work sites, making them to eke a living and sustain their families

Consequently, the PS warned wananchi against being distracted by critics of the government, arguing that the continued support of this administration will enable it to complete the various projects being implemented in the county.

“As PS in the government, there is so much we have done for the country. There is no county where you cannot pinpoint the work of this government,” said Mbaika.

“For instance, here in Wote town, we have a housing project that is almost done. We have a market of over Sh 347 million. Mothers will have dignity in their small businesses. They will have a place to breastfeed their children,” she added.

At the same time, the government is implementing affordable housing in Makindu, Kikima, and Kibwezi and towns and markets in Kilala, Kasikeu, and Mutulani, among others.

Speaking at the same forum, Kibwezi West Member of Parliament Mwengi Mutuse also hailed the government development record in various parts of the country.

On his part, the president’s aide, Farouk Kibet, urged Ukambani residents to shun tribal politics and support women in leadership positions.
