Security team maintains order in Embu Tallying Centers

A multi-agency team continues to maintain order in all constituency tallying centers in Embu as votes tallying continues at the various constituency tallying centers.

Kenya Kwanza gubernatorial aspirant Cecily Mbarire took an early lead in Manyatta constituency with 58.6 per cent followed by Development Empowerment Party (DEP) gubernatorial aspirant and former Embu senator Lenny Kivuti who had 27.3 per cent of the tallied votes in the 283 polling centers.

Alexander Munyi Mundigi of Democratic Party, an affiliate party of Kenya Kwanza and a senatorial aspirant is leading with 53.7 per cent followed David Kariuki of Kenya Kwanza with 12.6 per cent, Embu incumbent governor Martin Wambora with 6 per cent and the other candidates with less than one percent of the total votes tallied.

Kenya Kwanza Member of Parliamentary aspirant John Gitonga Mukunji has taken a lead with 54.6 per cent followed by Jubilee MP Aspirant Maurice Nyaga with 22.5 per cent of the tallied votes.
