Learners at St Dennis’ Munjiti Comprehensive School in Kisa East Ward are set for a major boost as the construction of a storey tuition block funded by the Khwisero NG-CDF progresses steadily.
The modern facility is expected to ease congestion in classrooms, expand learning space and provide a conducive environment for teaching and learning.
With enrolment steadily rising, the new block comes as a timely response to the school’s pressing infrastructural needs.
Khwisero MP Christopher Aseka, who inspected the project on Saturday said the investment is part of a broader effort to uplift education standards in the constituency.
“Our children deserve decent and modern facilities that will inspire them to learn and give them the confidence to compete with others nationally. Education remains our top priority,” Aseka said.
The block is designed to house spacious classrooms that will serve different grades, reducing the burden on existing structures.
Parents and community members have welcomed the project, noting that it will transform the school into a model institution in the area.
“For years, our children have struggled to learn in crowded classrooms. This project is a blessing to us as parents and will greatly improve performance,” said Mary Wafula, a parent at the school.
Once completed, the St Dennis’ Munjiti tuition block will stand as a landmark project in Munjiti Sub-location.
The project according to Aseka is 75 percent complete.
