Three suspects arraigned in High Court for murder

Two  Administration Police officers and a driver all attached to Homa Bay Deputy Governor, Hamilton Orata were on Tuesday arraigned before a Homa Bay High Court charged with murdering a businessman in Ndhiwa Sub County, Homa Bay County.

The  administration officers, Fredrick Makau, Lawi Mutalii and the driver, Alex Onyango were charged that on the night of  27th and 28th April this year at Status Lodge in Ndhiwa town, with others not before the court, they ganged up in beating Abdinasir Abdulahi Ahmed who later succumbed to serious injuries while undergoing treatment at Ndhiwa Sub County Hospital.

The three who appeared before the Homa Bay High Court Judge, Justice Joseph Karanja pleaded not guilty and were each released on a bond of Sh.500 000 with a surety of similar amount.

The Judge directed the case to be heard on 4th November this year.

The accused were unable to meet the bond conditions and were remanded at Homa Bay prison.
