11 year old girl defiled and murdered

Police in Kiminini sub county, Trans Nzoia County have arrested two people in connection with the defilement and murder of a grade 3 girl.
Trans Nzoia county police Commander Ayubu Gitonga told KNA that the body of the grade 3 pupil of Makindu primary school was discovered in a maize plantation on Saturday at 2 pm.
The police commander said that the body of the girl had bruises around the neck and her inner clothing were missing.
Gitonga said details of the disappearance of the girl from her home at Birunda village Sikhendu sub location have not been captured and police are investigating the incident.
The body has been moved to Kiminini Cottage Mortuary awaiting post mortem.
The police commander decried increasing cases of defilement and asked parents and guardians to be watchful over their children.
