‎‎Safaricom launches PATA MORE campaign

‎‎Safaricom has launched PATA MORE, a new campaign aimed at providing customers and businesses with greater value through enhanced connectivity, digital services and M-PESA solutions.

The campaign, unveiled in Meru on Thursday, is built around the promise of offering customers more value, convenience and freedom in the products and services they use every day.

Under the new initiative, customers will enjoy increased data allocations across selected bundles. The Sh20 daily bundle now offers 250MB valid for 24 hours, up from 150MB, while the Sh99 bundle has been increased from 1GB to 1.5GB. Customers purchasing the Sh1,000 monthly bundle will now receive 21.5GB, more than double the previous allocation of 10GB.

The campaign also introduces additional benefits for M-PESA users and merchants through Pochi la Biashara. Customers can now make Pochi transactions of up to Sh 200 free of charge under the Pochi Kadogo initiative, an increase from the previous Sh100 threshold. For transactions above Sh200, fees will be capped at Sh50 for the next 90 days.

Safaricom has further enhanced merchant services by increasing the Lipa na M-PESA Buy Goods Kadogo threshold from Sh200 to Sh500, enabling small businesses to retain more of their earnings as digital payments continue to grow.

Customers will also benefit from improved payment options through Scan and Tap to Pay, which are designed to make transactions faster and more convenient.

Speaking during the launch, Safaricom PLC Chief Executive Officer Peter Ndegwa said the company remains committed to responding to customers’ needs with practical solutions that improve their daily lives.

“We understand that every choice our customers make matters, whether it is staying connected, sending money, running a business or supporting their families. Through PATA MORE, we want to give our customers more from the services they rely on most and continue supporting them with simple and practical solutions,” said Ndegwa.

The campaign also targets customers seeking device upgrades by offering smartphones bundled with connectivity benefits and device insurance. Among the devices available under the programme is the Neon Ultra 2 smartphone, which can be acquired through daily repayments of Sh55.

Drivers and motorcycle riders subscribed to Bundle Ya Dereva and Bundle Ya Boda will gain access to packages that combine connectivity with work-enabling tools, including free access to ride-hailing applications, Google Maps and Tuunza Mapato insurance.

Home internet users are also set to benefit, with Safaricom Fibre customers receiving internet speeds of up to 2.5 times faster across various plans, in addition to family sharing and flexible connectivity options.

For enterprises, Fibre for Business customers will enjoy enhanced internet speeds and integrated cybersecurity protection designed to block harmful websites, prevent risky downloads and detect suspicious online activity in real time.

Safaricom noted that the campaign brings together its digital services through the One App platform, enabling customers to manage connectivity services, access available offers and receive support through Zuri on WhatsApp, One App or the Zuri Voice Bot by dialing 100.

The telecommunications company said PATA MORE reflects its continued commitment to creating value by integrating connectivity, digital tools and customer care into one seamless experience for individuals and businesses.

Safaricom serves more than 71.6 million customers across Kenya and Ethiopia and remains one of East Africa’s leading telecommunications companies, with annual revenues of Sh400 billion as of March 2026.
