A desperate family in Busia town has appealed to the public and well-wishers to help them trace their kin who has been missing for the past three weeks.
According to David Maina Karanja, brother to the missing person, Samuel Njogu was last seen on March 5 at Marachi Estate in Busia town.
Karanja who spoke to KNA in Busia Office said that the 32-year-old Njogu who suffers from memory lapse was called upon by a neighbour Mourine Omenda to help her carry some luggage to an unknown destination on the material day, never to be seen again.
“On that fruitful day, Samuel Njogu, who has mental problems, was wearing a green t-shirt with black trousers and had blue sandals referred to as “tuk-tuk.” said Karanja.
He added that the family has made several reports to Busia Police station, Nambale police station and to neighbouring country of Uganda but all in Vain.
“The police have been trying to trace the suspect Mourine Omenda through her mobile phone but she keeps switching it off,” said Karanja, “Mourine was last tracked by police at Anyiko area within Butula Sub-county,” added Karanja.
Maina Karanja is appealing to whoever has any information concerning the missing person to contact him through 0729651802 or report to nearby police station
